Requirements
- Updated WordPress
- FlyingPress version 5.3 or higher
Step-by-step
- Access the WordPress admin panel
- Go to Plugins > Installed Plugins
- Update FlyingPress to version 5.3 or higher
- In the side menu, click on FlyingPress
- Go to the Images tab
Recommended Settings
Image Format
- AVIF for maximum compression and best performance
- WebP if broader compatibility is needed
Compression Type
- Lossy for greater size reduction
- Lossless if preserving maximum quality is the priority
Auto-optimize New Uploads
- Enable to automatically optimize all new uploaded images
Optimizing existing images
- In the Images tab, click Optimize Images
- Processing occurs on FlyingPress servers
- No CPU, memory, or I/O impact on the Napoleon server
